Josh and Esther met after college and married in 2006. They both desired to serve God in ministry, which was a key element that had brought them together.
In 2007 Josh received his first position & started off as an assistant/youth pastor until in 2013, until he felt called to serve as a Sr Pastor. In January of 2014, he accepted the call to serve as Sr. Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton, TN.
The Stocks serve together as a family in every facet of the ministry. Immediately upon arriving, Joshua saw the need to implement a soul winning and visitation program. Other than preaching 3 or more times a week, & singing in the choir, Josh works at helping to set up and assist technology in the church and does whatever is needed to keep the ministry moving and thriving! He is well known in the community and serves as the county volunteer firefighter and Chaplain.
Esther started the first ever ladies Sunday School class in our church and enjoys topical and mostly expository verse by verse teaching. She leads our children’s Wednesday night Bible club, sings in the choir, and enjoys helping in our nursery. She’s also taught in the Christian school. She too wanted to reach out to the community and has been a part of the ladies jail ministry, serving as a key teacher. She has volunteered in assisting young girls who have found themselves in hard times at the Christian pregnancy crisis center where she has been able to freely share the gospel and encourage young girls to choose life during their pregnancies. She currently enjoys teaching the homeless women at the Chattanooga Rescue mission started by Lee Roberson. On the side, she has a health and wellness business that she works part time.
The Stocks have 2 boys Zechariah (12) and Thaddaeus (10) or better known as Zack and Thad. They assist mom and dad in whatever is needed. They are a great set up and clean up crew and they both enjoy working one of the cameras (angles) for our services. Zack is on rotation to help in Junior church on Sundays and enjoys singing in our church choir.
We have a fall revival coming up the second week of November. We ask to anyone reading, this that you would take a moment to stop and pray over our ministry, and that God would meet with us, teach us, equip and strengthen us during this week and keep us going until His return.
His Servants,
The Stock family
Joshua, Esther, Zechariah & Thaddaeus
