Kyle Allen was raised a “farm boy.” Growing up in the cornfields of West Central Indiana gave him ample opportunity to be taught the value of hard work from his father. Sowing and reaping were Bible truths made clear to him as he labored in his youth.
Kyle moved a couple of hours north of his home to attend Fairhaven Baptist College in 2001. While in school, Kyle learned that many principles he learned on the farm were applicable to having a successful ministry. He saw that nothing worthwhile could succeed without hard work. He learned to labor for souls in the bus ministry and Sunday school classes. He strove for good grades in a challenging academic program.
Kyle graduated from Fairhaven in 2005. He met Elizabeth Roadcup while a student. Her father, Mike Roadcup, is a pastor in Westminster, Maryland. Soon after graduation they were married and went immediately into the ministry. Kyle and Elizabeth returned to his hometown where he served as an assistant pastor for several years. Later, he spent time working at his father-in-law’s church in Maryland. After seven years as an assistant, Kyle felt the call to the pastorate.
In July 2012, Richmond Baptist Church in Richmond, Indiana, called Kyle to be their pastor. He sees great opportunities for their church. They run a bus and knock on doors, laboring to reach Richmond for Christ. He has a vision for the future of the church, realizing ultimately that same truth he learned as a boy with his father—you reap what you sow. Please pray for the Allen family, as well as for the numerous other Fairhaven graduates who are in the work of the Lord.
